Dynamic sharing rules allow flexible and automatic sharing of records between users based on criteria. In this slide let’s discuss how to configure field cleaning rules in
odoo 17. Field Cleaning is used to format the data that we use
inside Odoo. Odoo 17's Data Cleaning module offers Field
Cleaning Rules to improve data consistency and quality within
specific fields of our Odoo records. By using the field cleaning,
we can correct the typos, correct the spaces between them and
also formats can be corrected.

Lets go to Data Cleaning module and from the configuration,
we can set these rules.
5. Enterprise
We can configure new rule by clicking on New button. In that
form view, we can give the name for the rule and specify the
model in which cleaning need to be done and choose the
cleaning mode, either manual or automatic. Also we can notify
users, if there are new records to be cleaned. After providing
the details, we can add rules by clicking on Add a line button.
6. Enterprise
A pop up opens for creating the rule. Here, we can choose the
field to be cleaned and choose the action from the available
options. Here we have chosen to set type case and all cases
will be converted to uppercase.
7. Enterprise
We can create multiple rules in one field cleaning rule. Here we
have chosen the action to trim all spaces in the field name of
contact.
8. Enterprise
After setting the rules, we can click on Clean button to see the
records satisfying this cleaning rule.
9. Enterprise
In the list view of the records satisfying this rule, we can click
on Validate or Discard button, so that rule will be applied to
that record.
11. Enterprise
If we go to Data cleaning module and click on clean button, we
can see the record to be cleaned. It also shows the current
record name and the suggested name after rule is applied. We
can click on validate to make the rule apply.
12. Enterprise
After rule is applied, from contact module, we can see the
change. All the spaces are removed and also all letters are
converted to Uppercase.
