INTRODUCTION
I have completed my internship training at “CAMRI Hospital” from 11-03-2024 to 11-05-2024 for 2
months. CAMRI is one of the fastest responding hospital in Burdwan. Having skilled doctors, nurses,
technician and support staff contributes to the efficiency and quality of patient care. There are 10
beds in the emergency unit. The emergency is well equipped for all the items required for managing
the airway, breathing, and circulation.
Emergency Department defines an emergency situation as a hospital facility that is staffed 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, and providing critical and often life-saving care to patients in urgent need.

CAMRI is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company
CAMRI Hospital was established in the year 1996 with the name
Burdwan Diagnostic & Research Centre Private Ltd. with the help
of few businessmen and Medical Professional to establish a
Hospital in Burdwan. It is situated on the NH2 (G. T. Road) at
Bamchandaipur, Burdwan. Later in the year 2001 Dr. Kushanava
Pabi renamed in it Chittaranjan Advance Medical Referral Institute
(AN ISO 9001:2008 CERTIFIED)

• Patients are admitted in acute conditions requiring
immediate treatment.
• Such as patient with heart attack, poisoning, trauma,
breathing problem, CVA, RTA (Road traffic accident),
severe illness or injury, etc.
The admission of a patient refers to the formal process of allowing a patient to stay in the hospital
for inpatient care, treatment, observation, investigations of the disease he/she is suffering from.

A medico-legal case can be defined as a case of injury or ailment, etc.,
In which investigations by the law-enforcing agencies are essential to
fix the responsibility regarding the causation of the injury or ailment.
MEDICO LEGAL CASES

In emergency, It is mandatory to start the treatment as soon as the case
comes; simultaneously the police should also be informed. In case where
dying declaration is required; the magistrate is to be informed.
Hospitals will maintain a MLC register and the MLC will be initiated and
documented in the register and avoid abbreviations over writing.
Medico-legal documents should be considered as confidential records
and should be stored under safe custody. (10 Years)

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, my two months internship training at the operation
department in CAMRI hospital has been a valuable and enriching
experience. I have gained hands-on experience and developed a deeper
experience. I have gained hands-on experience and developed a deeper
understanding of emergency department operations and patient flow.
Enhance clinical skills and knowledge in assisted in various emergency
procedures and interventions. Appreciated the importance of teamwork,
public relation, communication, and decision-making in high pressure
situation.

  • 2. INTRODUCTION I have completed my internship training at “CAMRI Hospital” from 11-03-2024 to 11-05-2024 for 2 months. CAMRI is one of the fastest responding hospital in Burdwan. Having skilled doctors, nurses, technician and support staff contributes to the efficiency and quality of patient care. There are 10 beds in the emergency unit. The emergency is well equipped for all the items required for managing the airway, breathing, and circulation. Emergency/ Unplanned ADMISSION PROCESS • Patients are admitted in acute conditions requiring immediate treatment. • Such as patient with heart attack, poisoning, trauma, breathing problem, CVA, RTA (Road traffic accident), severe illness or injury, etc. The admission of a patient refers to the formal process of allowing a patient to stay in the hospital for inpatient care, treatment, observation, investigations of the disease he/she is suffering from. Fill up the admission form & the indoor registration •RMO write a medication advice on Initial Assessment for Emergency of the patient. •Sister does the Nursing Initial Assessment of the patient. A medico-legal case can be defined as a case of injury or ailment, etc., In which investigations by the law-enforcing agencies are essential to fix the responsibility regarding the causation of the injury or ailment. MEDICO LEGAL CASES Medico-legal cases include: •Accidents like Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) •Electrical injury •Poisoning •Sexual Offences In emergency, It is mandatory to start the treatment as soon as the case comes; simultaneously the police should also be informed. In case where dying declaration is required; the magistrate is to be informed. Hospitals will maintain a MLC register and the MLC will be initiated and documented in the register and avoid abbreviations over writing. Medico-legal documents should be considered as confidential records and should be stored under safe custody. Enhance clinical skills and knowledge in assisted in various emergency procedures and interventions. Appreciated the importance of teamwork, public relation, communication, and decision-making in high pressure situation.
