This document proposes content marketing strategies for fashion brands. It notes that today's shoppers research purchases online and want information throughout the shopping process. Content marketing allows fashion brands to truly connect with customers by making the customer the hero of content, weaving the brand purpose throughout, and linking online and offline experiences. Proven tactics include upgrading e-commerce sites for easier navigation, turning brand fans into ambassadors through user-generated content, and linking in-store and online ordering. When brands connect emotionally with consumers through content, they see growth triple that of competitors.
Decentralized social networks are emerging as the next trend, allowing individual users more control over their data and experience. As concerns grow over privacy and data usage on mainstream platforms, decentralized networks run by consumers rather than corporations offer an alternative. However, challenges remain around moderation and preventing toxicity without centralized oversight. In 2023, one or two decentralized networks may start to gain significant traction if they can address these issues, putting pressure on major platforms to offer users more choice and autonomy.

Mobile connectivity has the potential to provide significant economic and social benefits globally, but its impact depends on factors like infrastructure development and affordability. The mobile connectivity ecosystem involves infrastructure providers (carriers), services/content providers, and consumers. While carriers play a pivotal role by operating networks, the benefits are not evenly distributed. In developed nations, higher bandwidth enables services like video streaming but in developing areas, basic connectivity can improve access to information, resources and opportunities that positively impact areas like health, education and economic growth. Ensuring widespread affordable access remains an ongoing challenge.

We suddenly live in a strange and wonderful nexus of digital and physical. Touchscreens let us hold information in our hands, and we touch, stretch, crumple, drag, and flick data itself. Our sensor-packed phones even reach beyond the screen to interact directly with the world around us. While these digital interfaces are becoming physical, the physical world is becoming digital, too. Objects, places, and even our bodies are lighting up with with sensors and connectivity. We’re not just clicking links anymore; we’re creating physical interfaces to digital systems. This requires new perspective and technique for web and product designers. The good news: it’s all within your reach. With a rich trove of examples, Designing for Touch author Josh Clark explores the practical, meaningful design opportunities for the web’s newly physical interfaces.

Network effects. It’s one of the most important concepts for business in general and especially for tech businesses, as it’s the key dynamic behind many successful software-based companies. Understanding network effects not only helps build better products, but it helps build moats and protect software companies against competitors’ eating away at their margins.
Yet what IS a network effect? How do we untangle the nuances of 'network effects' with 'marketplaces' and 'platforms'? What’s the difference between network effects, virality, supply-side economies of scale? And how do we know a company has network effects?
Most importantly, what questions can entrepreneurs and product managers ask to counter the wishful thinking and sometimes faulty assumption behind the belief that “if we build it, they will come” … and instead go about more deterministically creating network effects in their business? Because it's not a winner-take-all market by accident.

The document discusses strategies for startups to build on top of large platforms to gain users and grow rapidly. It notes that while platforms are not there to specifically help startups, they can be beneficial for acceleration if used correctly. The key strategies are to 1) build products that provide clear value to users and incentives for the platform, 2) design products to work independently of platforms since platforms will change, and 3) use platforms for user acquisition and acceleration only, not as a primary distribution method or business model. Successful examples include Instagram, YouTube, and Dubsmash who leveraged platforms initially but became independent destinations.

Putting Growth Oriented Design at the Heart of Your ProductJace Grebski
Growth oriented design focuses on aligning a product's design, brand, and goals. It aims to create experiences that encourage positive sharing on social media in order to expand the user base and drive growth. Data should be collected and applied to both product and marketing designs to constantly reinforce the brand and goals through all customer touchpoints like content, social media, email, and the product itself. The goal of growth oriented design is to keep the goals and focus on growth throughout the entire design process.

This document discusses and pokes fun at the website "Avatar Hot or Not" which allows users to rate Xbox Live avatars on a scale of 1 to 5 based on how "hot" or "not" they are. The author notes that despite being online for decades and seeing very stupid things, websites like this still manage to surprise him. While finding the concept pointless, the author admits to clicking through and rating a few avatars as a "3" without knowing what really constitutes a hot or not avatar. The document concludes by saying it's time we stopped judging people based on how they look and instead based on meaningless customizations like clothing choices and money spent on virtual items.
Venture Capital Investment Pitch Deck Template - Leave BehindJace Grebski
This template was initially based off a few generally accepted decks that were passed to me by friends who were / are VC's, I then based this on years experience in the entrepreneurship space building, growing and selling companies, added a few things that I believed to be improvements in communicating value to your potential investors.
This is also not a bible but should serve to give an overview of what you should think about. Each company and business is different, think about those items in this deck that are important to your business and use them. It's also ugly on purpose, so you have to do the work putting it all together.
By all means, edit, augment, change as you see fit. Enjoy, and good luck!
This document proposes a new platform called Badger that allows users to connect and share their interests across platforms by defining interests with user-created badges. These badges can then be stitched onto relevant photos, videos, and locations to organize content thematically. The platform aims to drive engagement through gamification elements where stitching earns points to level up badges and unlock rewards. It seeks $500k in funding to develop apps for web, iOS, and Android, implement business tools, advance analytics, and sharing functionality. The founding team includes entrepreneurs experienced in startups, digital media, and mobile development.

Using Clusters to Facilitate Innovation & Entrepreneurship within communities.Jace Grebski
This is what Will and I came up with post "Next Top Startup" as an extension of f3fundit, we saw a huge need in the market for an innovation / entrepreneurship facilitator, and started shopping this around.
We had one month in which we tried to raise the 30k euro, but in the end it just wasn't enough time and the project went to the dogs, along with f3fundit with it. Shame, was a good one.
Innovation + changing face of advertisingJace Grebski
The document discusses innovation in advertising. It defines creativity as generating something new, while innovation is applying creativity to have a measurable impact. Advertising has traditionally used the same paradigm since the 1800s of broadcast messaging to tell people how to feel. More recently, advertising has tried to make people feel emotions through going viral, using data mining and targeting, and focusing on current customers for retention. However, these approaches still have limitations like minimal emotional impact and lack of measurable ROI. To truly solve engagement, the document suggests advertisers should talk to customers, bridge connections between customers, involve customers in the process, gamify advertising, and integrate advertising into customers' experiences.

Selling software today doesn’t look anything like it did a few years ago. Especially software that runs inside a customer environment. Dreamfactory has used Anchore and Ask Sage to achieve compliance in a record time. Reducing attack surface to keep vulnerability counts low, and configuring automation to meet those compliance requirements. After achieving compliance, they are keeping up to date with Anchore Enterprise in their CI/CD pipelines.
The CEO of Ask Sage, Nic Chaillan, the CEO of Dreamfactory Terence Bennet, and Anchore’s VP of Security Josh Bressers are going to discuss these hard problems.
In this webinar we will cover:
- The standards Dreamfactory decided to use for their compliance efforts
- How Dreamfactory used Ask Sage to collect and write up their evidence
- How Dreamfactory used Anchore Enterprise to help achieve their compliance needs
- How Dreamfactory is using automation to stay in compliance continuously
- How reducing attack surface can lower vulnerability findings
- How you can apply these principles in your own environment
When you do security right, they won’t know you’ve done anything at all!
Jacquard Fabric Explained: Origins, Characteristics, and Usesldtexsolbl
In this presentation, we’ll dive into the fascinating world of Jacquard fabric. We start by exploring what makes Jacquard fabric so special. It’s known for its beautiful, complex patterns that are woven into the fabric thanks to a clever machine called the Jacquard loom, invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard back in 1804. This loom uses either punched cards or modern digital controls to handle each thread separately, allowing for intricate designs that were once impossible to create by hand.
Next, we’ll look at the unique characteristics of Jacquard fabric and the different types you might encounter. From the luxurious brocade, often used in fancy clothing and home décor, to the elegant damask with its reversible patterns, and the artistic tapestry, each type of Jacquard fabric has its own special qualities. We’ll show you how these fabrics are used in everyday items like curtains, cushions, and even artworks, making them both functional and stylish.
Moving on, we’ll discuss how technology has changed Jacquard fabric production. Here, LD Texsol takes center stage. As a leading manufacturer and exporter of electronic Jacquard looms, LD Texsol is helping to modernize the weaving process. Their advanced technology makes it easier to create even more precise and complex patterns, and also helps make the production process more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Finally, we’ll wrap up by summarizing the key points and highlighting the exciting future of Jacquard fabric. Thanks to innovations from companies like LD Texsol, Jacquard fabric continues to evolve and impress, blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology. We hope this presentation gives you a clear picture of how Jacquard fabric has developed and where it’s headed in the future.
Project Delivery Methodology on a page with activities, deliverablesCLIVE MINCHIN
I've not found a 1 pager like this anywhere so I created it based on my experiences. This 1 pager details a waterfall style project methodology with defined phases, activities, deliverables, assumptions. There's nothing in here that conflicts with commonsense.

7. Process: Discovery
Discovery is about understanding what we’re
building, why we’re building it and who we’re
building it for.
This is undeniably the most important part of
the entire product creation process, because
when we finish discovery, we will have a feature
and conceptually complete software
application.

Process: Information Architecture (IA)
Information Architecture (IA) defines the
software’s hierarchy and establishes in a clear
document all the app’s moving parts.
We like to think of it as the product blueprint,
and just like a you wouldn’t build a high-rise
without one, an app shouldn’t be built
without it either.
Sample IA Element
9. Low Fidelity Wireframe
Next, we create wireframes from the
information architecture and create a skeletal
framework of the application. It covers the
general layout of the app, and defines any
human / device interactions that will need to
be incorporated into the application.
Wireframes help us run through the IA, and
make any adjustments to the product before
we go into the design and engineering.
All wireframes are shared through InVision, a
remotely accessible prototype tool.
Process: User Experience Design
10. Visual Design Mockup
Process: User Interaction Design
We work closely with you and your design
team to ensure that the User Interface / Visual
Design embodies your brand and defines
interaction and feedback mechanisms that
support the application’s use.
All UI designs are shared through InVision.
On completion we export all designs using
Zeplin.io, creating production ready assets
letting our developers understand how to
interpret and integrate the files.
11. Engineering is planned around two-week
sprints, beginning with a plan that identifies
the tasks targeted for execution during the
sprint.
This helps prevent bottlenecks, ensures that
deliverables are well managed, and allows us
to make any needed adjustments to the
product as it comes together.
We also often work alongside in-house
development teams.
